A general query for members of Proofreaders LJ: Do you belong to any other DP teams?

I'm a member of Retreads (R) Us, which prides itself on being dedicated to making itself obsolete. We tend to focus on retread projects -- marked (R) in the proofing and formatting rounds -- which were holdovers from the old DP setup and are now being formatted to the new standards. I like the thought of clearing out these old projects, so whenever I'm on the DP Web site I'll try to do at least a page or two of retread projects.

Any other DP team members out there? Index Junkies, Smooth Readers, what have you?

I belong to:

Team Germany
P2 Alternative proofers.
P3 Archers

I also watch P2 Proofing the Oldest, which does a lot of Retreads at the moment.

I am changing jobs at the moment and have lots to do, so I'm not doing much on DP at the moment, I just can't find the peace of mind for a good P3 job... Perhaps I should do some P1, just for the fun of it... ;)

Hmm, I need to look up which teams I'm a member of. I think one of the teams I joined are the fans of Adams Douglas; Team Forty Two or something like that? *looks it up*

Oh, here we go:

* Forty-Two
* Fans of Jesus
* Type-in Addicts

That last one is outdated. I hardly ever proofread anymore; I prefer to focus on PPing. But I've enjoyed typing stuff in. I wouldn't say I was an addict, but those type-in projects really needed help, and I felt like it was worthwhile.

It kind of sucks that you can join only 3 teams. There are so many worthwhile teams. I'm also kind of interested in Table Turners, but I only do tables for myself, when I postprocess.

    I am a member of:
  1. P3 Junkies
  2. P3 Archers
  3. Team Israel

These memberships actually don't mean that much -- I either find a project or few that interest me and stick to them, or just do a page here a page there of whatever project.

I also volunteer at Dp-Feedback (instead of Mentoring, which I used to do but then gave it up). And I watch the Help-with-Hebrew discussion topic, helping PPers with it.

I also volunteer occasionally at DP-EU, mostly with Hebrew / Heb-Eng R2 projects. But I hate that place; it usually feels like an empty graveyard. I can leave the projects for weeks or months, and upon return, find them at the same page I left them, or perhaps one or two pages taken by others. Eery.

Index Junkies
Type in Addicts and.. er.. something else. :) I've been busy and haven't been doing my part in recent times.

I think I took the not-good-enough-to-P3 thing way too hard.
