There's Warren Commission stuff wandering through, as well as a Harrod's catalog of an early time frame. A book of the history of the 19th century as seen through caricature.

So how ~does~ one break into the proofreading/copyediting field? It's one of the few jobs that I ~know~ I would be both good ~and~ happy at.

Hope things continue well for you.

I actually put DP on my CV under the 'service/volunteer work' category. The person who interviewed me seemed quite interested in the concept. ^_^

I managed to find work through a temp agency, of all things. I'm in a large city, so there are a few agencies that work primarily in publishing and have multiple clients. It really depends on what kind of projects you want to work on (technical, scientific, and the like) and what the opportunities for such work are.
