Could you, please tell me the meaning of the expression: "easy-easy" in English?
thanks

A general query for members of Proofreaders LJ: Do you belong to any other DP teams?

I'm a member of Retreads (R) Us, which prides itself on being dedicated to making itself obsolete. We tend to focus on retread projects -- marked (R) in the proofing and formatting rounds -- which were holdovers from the old DP setup and are now being formatted to the new standards. I like the thought of clearing out these old projects, so whenever I'm on the DP Web site I'll try to do at least a page or two of retread projects.

Any other DP team members out there? Index Junkies, Smooth Readers, what have you?

Mar. 9th, 2008 @ 12:02 pm Proofed any good books lately?
There's been more activity on this community than there has been for a while, and I feel rather bad that as the community mod I haven't been making more posts myself. (I blame my full-time copyediting job that hasn't left me much time for outside proofreading projects.) But I'm curious to know, from those who are currently proofing over at DP, if any neat or interesting projects are moving through the ranks?

(And seeing as how I used to proof some of the Finnish and Esperanto books that were stalled out in the queues, my definition of 'interesting' is quite flexible.)

Mar. 9th, 2008 @ 10:58 am Hi from Egypt!
Hi guys, there's not much activity here, but I joined anyway, you never know!

I joined DP about a month ago and am now happily proofing away in P2 and F1. I'm considering to join P3, once I qualify, but I guess I need to get some more pages under my belt and feel more comfortable first. Perhaps I should try some mentoring at some point, once I have done A LOT MORE pages...

It's a lot of fun and the forums are very active, too - which is probably the explanation for the lack of action here.

My username over there is the same as here. See you around!

I've been on pgdp for three days now. I think I have 60 or so pages proofed.

It's like crack.

(Disclaimer: No, I have no experience with actual crack. I've just heard rumours.)

Anyway, hi.

Aug. 4th, 2006 @ 07:55 pm Hello :)
Thought it was high time I got myself over here and joined up, been meaning to do it for months, but you know how life gets sucked away by doing 'just one more page' on DP ;P

I'm rubycon on DP, in case you're thinking 'I don't recognise that name...'. I'm not a member of the DP LJ team - I'd already signed up for three when I found out there was an LJ team...

Anyways, I never know what to write for these introductory posts - so see you around DP and LJ :D

Happy proofing!
